Pigtails and Crewcuts.. :)

So today was one of those days that I have been really dreading, You know what I am talking about.. the ones that remind you that your baby is growing up, that the 8 year wait to have that sweet little bundle is far in the past and he is moving on up waaaayyy to quickly..   Today was the BIG day to take him to get his very first haircut, I have heard great things about this place and decided this would be the place to go..  And let me tell you. they are AMAZING..
Solomyn was ready to go ride in that beautiful red little airplane, we talked about how fun it would be and he was ready to go.. So when they called his name I thought this would be a breeze..  As I started to put him in the cute little plane the excitment went out the door and he was scared to death..  Soooo after a little bribing with a lollipop we got him in and ready for take off..

Solomyn was sooo sweet to watch..and did such a great job as long as we were talking to him and the lady cutting his hair would stay behind him and he would not see her..  But as soon as he would look up and see her he would do this...

Even with his lollipop in his mouth his little bottom lip would come out and he would look the other way and try to suck it up and then look at me as if to save him..

And YES... I did have a few tears but in the end we did it together and ended up with this sweet little card..

And a very handsome and happy baby who recieved not only one but two dinosaurs for being such a BIG boy..  :)

Friday Fun Day...

So with Kris off for the day we decided to pack up for the day and just get away...  Logan had to work a double shift so it was Kris, myself and the 3 little ones.. What a GREAT DAY..

First stop on the list was the Discovery Place here in Downtown Charlotte..  Where the kids joined in to help with the bead maze..

( and can I just say this, It is amazing to me how kids who do not even know each other, have never met, do not even know each other names, can get together and start playing like they are Best Friends..  We as adults should be taking notes from our own children.. just saying :) )

Then we headed over to the block table and made castle's with daddy..

Karson took a ride on the air chair...

And then Madi and Solomyn got shot by the air gun from daddy..  lol..

Then we headed outside to see all the birds and try out the rope bridge ..

After all the fun upstairs we headed down stairs to see all the fish and play in the baby area until they closed the place down...

After we closed the place down..  :)  We headed to Chilis for Dinner and then off to the Knights game..  The goal was to stay all the way to the end and watch the BIG fireworks show with the kids...

Thank Goodness, Solomyn LOVES baseball,  BUT, after about an hour and a half he was about done.. Sooo I brought out reinforcements..  lol..  Solomyn had his very first lollipop.. well, a ring pop to be precise and I guess I will let the pictures speak for themself..  ha ha...

HE LOVED IT!!!!
And who could resist that sweet little Blue face coming right at you..
By the time he was finished with his lollipop, got washed up and quick diaper change it was 10:45 and the game was over..  WE made it to the end..  And for the very first time Solomyn got to see this...

What a great day..
We got home at 11:30 with 3 very sleepy kids, But a day full of great memories..  :)

Everybody JUMP !!

So the summer is here and the kids have been out of school now for 5 days and we really have had the best time together..  Everyday while we are in town we have something fun planned to do with the kids... I am not the kind of Mom who can sit back and just be still... I mean,  I really enjoy playing as much as they do,
Soooo today was MONKEY JOE'S Day!!
Solomyn has not been since he was just an infant and I was VERY excited to see how he would do, or if he would just want to be held and walked around the place just to take it all in..  Well, when the first thing you see when you walk in is this....

I suppose it can be just a little intimidating..  lol...  Sooo he held on to me like glue.. When I would try to put him down he would just SCREAM...  Sooo for awhile we just watched Madi and Karson take over the place like they owned it.. :)

And, I really could not sit back and let those kids have all the FUN... Sooo I decided to get inside the baby center and slowly get that baby ready to go....  Even though my back is killing me I am right there in the middle of it all.. crawling through all the tunnels and chasing him up the slide and soon enough Solomyn was ready to goooooo.....

After about 20 minutes he realizes he can do this on his own and goes for it... He had the best time climbing up the slide, jumping, running around and pretending to fall.....

All until,, Somebody walks around the corner...

At first we was scared to death...  After a few minutes Kris got him to give him a high five and Karson and Madi got him to get close enough for a sweet little picture

After Mr. Monkey Joe left the building it was back to the slides and I sooo wanted to tackle the really high one with Sol, Madi and Karson..  So well, we did...  We all piled in and headed up to the highest peak..  LOL...

And it was a BLAST..  Solomyn LOVED it and decided to go down with Kris, Madi and Karson...  I just love how they ended up at the bottom of the slide...

Sometimes we get soo busy trying to make a living we forget about the living part, the enjoying the everyday and taking in the sweetest moments with our kids while they are small..  Our children can only become what they are around, So it is up to us to make the best of everyday and build them up in only a way a loving parent can do..  I am blessed everyday by these sweet kids and am forever thankful for God intrusting me with there sweet souls..  :)
